Because, well, you know, when I go to the cinema I expect actors to attempt to convince me the part they’re playing is real. Especially when I loved the book (Dune, anyone?) and want to be drawn into its world. But I have always enjoyed Lynch’s visuals, which is why I think his latest endeavour makes a lot of sense: designing for the built environment. This is the nightclub in Paris that he’s designed – called Silencio, after the club in Mulholland Drive. Cool. I’d drink there. But then, that’s not saying much…
